BlastAssist® is for culture from 4-8 cell stage through to blastocyst stage (Day 4-6 after fertilisation)

Background

BlastAssist® is a new, high-performance medium for blastocyst culture.
Please note: This product is not to be confused with the original BlastAssist® System, as the new BlastAssist® is a separately packaged day 4-6 culture medium.

BlastAssist® has been formulated for use after culture in EmbryoAssist™  (prod no. 1213/1214). Together, these media form a flexible culture system ensuring greater clinical performance and stability than the original BlastAssist® System. Please consult the BlastAssist® Product Data Sheet for more info. The separate packaging of EmbryoAssist™ and BlastAssist® allows full flexibility for clinics that perform occasional blastocyst culture.

Stability and shelf-life have been improved in the new BlastAssist®. Glutamine is added in a stable form to minimise the formation of toxic ammonia during culture.
